Teen Choice Awards 2010 baru saja digelar pada Minggu, 8 Agustus lalu. Lagi-lagi Twilight berkibar dengan mendominasi peraih penghargaan terbanyak. Tidak tanggung-tanggung 11 penghargaan diraih oleh The Twilight Saga's New Moon dan The Twilight Saga's Eclipse secara total.

Seperti yang dilansir dari Aceshowbiz, beberapa penghargaan yang berhasil diraih New Moon yaitu Choice Fantasy Movie, Choice Actress, Fantasy: Kristen Stewart, Choice Actor, Fantasy: Taylor Lautner, Choice Liplock: Robert Pattinson dan Kristen Stewart, Choice Villain: Rachelle Lefevre, Choice Chemistry: Robert Pattinson dan Kristen Stewart, Choice Male Scene Stealer: Kellan Lutz, dan Choice Female Scene Stealer: Ashley Greene.

Sedangkan untuk Eclipse menyapu bersih semua kategori Choice Summer mulai dari Choice Summer Movie, Choice Summer Movie Star, Male: Robert Pattinson, sampai Choice Summer Movie Star, Female: Kristen Stewart.


Sementara itu di bawah Twilight, ada Avatar dan Valentine’s Day yang masing-masing meraih 3 penghargaan. Avatar yang digarap oleh James Cameron meraih Choice Sci-Fi Movie, Choice Actress, Sci-Fi: Zoe Saldana, dan Choice Actor, Sci-Fi: Sam Worthington. Lalu untuk film bertaburan bintang, Valentine’s Day meraih Choice Actor, Romantic Comedy: Ashton Kutcher, Choice Romantic Comedy, dan Female Breakout: Taylor Swift.

Teen Choice Awards adalah ajang penghargaan untuk musik, film, olahraga, dan fashion yang dimulai sejak tahun 1999. Para pemenang ditentukan atas dasar voting yang dilakukan oleh anak berumur 13-19 tahun.

Untuk tahun ini, Teen Choice Awards berlangsung di Gibson Amphitheater di Universal City, California dengan menggaet Katy Perry sebagai pembawa acara. Acara ini ditayangkan oleh FOX pada hari Minggu, 9 Agustus jam 8 malam. (eM_Yu)
